Happy June to you all, it's so nice to have the warm weather back with us and we can get outside. The Chamber is making final preparations for its 64th Annual Golf Tournament to be held on June 7th at Dutch Elm Golf Course in Arundel. A portion of the proceeds from this tournament go to fund three $500 scholarships to local students. We have a full field for the first time in three years. I believe this is a good sign that the economy is chugging along and that the Chamber is doing a good job promoting its members and the community.
I want to announce a unique opportunity provided to us by AIM Recycling, USA. Located at 2244 Portland Road in Arundel, AIM Recycling, USA provides metal recycling to our community. AIM Recycling, USA has set up a special account in the Chamber's name and will take the proceeds of your metal recycling materials and donate them to the Chamber. This is such a wonderful opportunity. It helps us clean up unwanted metal materials from our own properties and even surrounding vacant properties. Most of us have at one time or another had an old stove or tire rims laying around. AIM Recycling, USA will accept these materials and more. Simply drive up to the main gate, speak to the employee and tell them you want to donate your proceeds to the Biddeford+Saco Chamber account. It's that easy. A special thank you to Jonathan Bubier, the business manager at AIM Recycling, USA for bringing this idea to us.
Best of luck to you all and have a great Summer season.
