    Event Description:
    The York County Women, Infants and Children Nutrition Program (WIC) will host an Open House at its Sanford, Kittery and Biddeford clinic sites on separate dates in May. • May 15-Sanford (6 Spruce Street, Sanford 04073) • May 22-Biddeford (15 York Street, Building 9, Suite #2, Biddeford 04005) • May 31-Kittery (120 Rogers Road, East Wing, A102, Kittery 03904) The Open House hours for all locations will be 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Come visit the WIC offices, meet WIC staff, and learn about how WIC has earned the reputation of being one of the most successful federally-funded nutrition programs in the United States. Guests will receive vegetable seeds for planting, and refreshments will be available. WIC is a health and supplemental nutrition program for pregnant women; breastfeeding women up to 12 months postpartum; non-breastfeeding women up to 6 months post-partum; infants and children up to 5 years of age who have a medical/nutritional risk and meet financial eligibility criteria. WIC has been providing services to York County residents since 1974, offering supplemental nutritious foods, nutrition education and counseling, and screening and referrals to other health and social services. York County WIC serves over 1,000 families every month.
