Welcome the arrival of summer with us at the Biddeford Beach Bash! This fun afternoon beach party is free and open for anyone to attend.
This year’s event features Empeople Credit Union as the main presenting sponsor. It will take place at Biddeford Pool Beach (also known as Gilbert Boucher Park) off Mile Stretch Rd. in Biddeford Pool.
There will be music, beverages, food trucks, beach games, a sandcastle contest, a sauna, a parking shuttle, free stuff, and more! Hope you can join us. Here are all the details:
MUSIC: From 12pm-2pm local radio station 99.3 THE WAVE will be broadcasting live from the beach with their on-air talent kicking off the day. Then DJ Philter will keep the party going from 2pm-6pm with more fun and danceable tunes.
BEVERAGES: Beach Bash partner Blaze Brewing Company will be selling some of their great line-up of premium locally brewed beers and seltzers, and water and soft drinks will also be available.
FOOD TRUCKS: Multiple food trucks will be participating in the Beach Bash from the parking lot area, including Weeners on Wheels and Kona Ice.
BEACH GAMES: There will be plenty of beach games available for everyone to enjoy, including beach volleyball, cornhole courtesy of Heart of Biddeford, giant Connect 4 courtesy of Saco Main Street, and a modified beach pickleball game as well.
SANDCASTLE CONTEST: This fun contest is organized by Nick Blunier of Common Roots Studio, and sponsored this year by Your Real Estate Co. of Saco. Contestants will be given castle-building tools to compete for valuable prizes.
SAUNA: There will be a Mobile Sauna there courtesy of Rich Gadbois of Driftless Sauna in Saco. Beach goers will be able to cool off in the frigid Atlantic and then enjoy a relaxing steam in the sauna on the beach to warm up.
PARKING: Parking in the paid City of Biddeford parking lot adjacent to the beach is limited, so a Parking Shuttle will be provided from the University of New England’s Harold Alfond Forum parking lot to the beach and back on a continuous ten-minute circuit from 12pm to 6pm for anyone to use for free. Special thanks to the Biddeford Recreation Department for making this shuttle and other aspects of the event happen.
