We have many great banks and credit unions in the Chamber that partner with businesses on their financing needs. In addition, there are other options available locally as well. Please join us for our next info session: "Show Me The Money: Financing Options for Businesses". This educational program is a joint partnering effort of Southern Maine Finance Agency, Heart of Biddeford, Saco Main Street, and the Chamber of Commerce. Wayne Morphew from SMFA will lead the roundtable discussion, and share more details on loans that SMFA can make to businesses, as well as the SBA 504 Loan Program which can be a helpful way for businesses to finance asset purchases in partnership with participating local banks.
As part of the roundtable discussion, Saco Economic Development Director Tracey Desjardins will provide more details on the city's financing programs available to Saco businesses: the Small Business Grant program, the Facade Grant program, and the city's Revolving Loan fund for businesses. In addition, owners of the Finest Kind restaurant in Saco will share more information on the multiple financing options they were able to access to fund the launch of their new business, as a real-world example of a successful and creative financing approach.
